Useless Ouvis ZV1
The Ouvis ZV1 camera is not ready for prime time. The only thing it’s good for is viewing the camera on your local network. You can’t view it remotely (no P2P viewing) and the FTP uploads don’t work so you can’t use it with Sensr.net.
The only thing good about this camera is that it’s pretty easy to setup. If you have the app, you can get the camera going pretty easily. You do need to plug it into an ethernet jack on the same network as your phone’s wifi, but once you do that, the Ouvis app can find the camera and configure it.

Foscam FI9900P Outdoor HD Camera
The Foscam FI9900P Outdoor HD Wireless Security Camera is a recent compact outdoor model from Foscam. It’s currently listing for around $125 on Amazon.
My biggest gripe with this camera is the mounting hardware. The camera can only be pointed forward and tilted up and down. There is no left or right articulation. In my case I was mounting the camera near the wall my garage. I had to put a little shim under one side of the mounting brack to get it to angle off to the side. See the image below for the final orientation. If I had mounted it straight ahead, I would have ended up with half the frame taken up by the left wall.

Had to angle camera manually to get a more centered image. The image quality is quite good though.
The camera works well with Sensr.net, so you can use our cloud DVR service with the Foscam. We have a free trial, so sign up and follow the instructions below on how to get it working with Sensr.net.

Foscam R2 2MP 1080P HD Wireless Security Camera
The Foscam Wireless Security Camera 1920TVL is the latest slim model from Foscam, also called the R2 it seems. I just opened this one yesterday and Foscam seems to be upping their game. The box is much nicer than they used in the previous models. It’s a bit more like the Apple experience. Not bad for a $70 product!
